car hesitates when giving it throttle
Recently my car has been acting up. Here are some symptoms of my problem. I'll rev my car from idle till like 3k rpm, let go of the gas and rev it again, it'll hesitate before it starts to rev again. Also, while im driving, i'll shift around 3k and if I dont shift slow, I can feel the engine hesitate again.
The thing is, after the hesitation, the engine seems like it runs fine. It still pulls good up to 9psi. I just changed my plugs, cap and rotor, and oil. The car is untuned, running off of a chipped "NA" ecu(retarded timing from the dizzy to compensate for boost). I would like to say tuning is the problem, but my car has been running fine for a little over a year. Any other ideas???

update - checked my ignition timing, at idle its at 14degrees, where I had it for the past year.
a friend of mine says it could be running too rich...I don't understand how my fuel could change out of nowhere.

Did you think about maybe it being the o2 sensor? also one time I'd thought it would be a smart idea to raise the vtec solenoid wire off the upper radiator hose witha zip tie on one the spark plug wire raising it up and the same hesitaion happened to me like u said without any codes, i put it back how it was and it went away...wtf...maybe some wiring glitches, water in the wiring but almost definately a voltage problem...hope this helps.
Just because it ran good for a year doesn't mean that it is safe. Running an All Motor tune on a boosted motor is a recipe for a blown motor. Please get an EMS capable of boost control so you can really see the potential of your car. Just curious, dp you know your A/F's while in boost?
