car clicks when starting
when I start the car it clicks repeatedly and the inside lights (dash lights, boost guage, and hondata shift light) flash as well with the clicks. I was curious what the problem might be... the things I thought might be worng are maybe the alarm was disarmed when it was in the shop and now it still is and wont let the car start...(the alarm doesnt sound when I click the beeper(though it still unlocks the doors). i had a resistor box wired up, but it was taken off now because I put my stock injectors back in. I thought that if the wires are possibly touching it might cause this. they are all taped with electrical tape, and then taped together, but im pretty sure none are touching. Im positive its not the battery because the lights all come on, and its not the started because that only clicks once, this clicks between 5 to 15 times while holding the key. thanks very much for any help you guys can offer me.
starter solenoid?? when the starter needed to be replaced last year the sound was completely different. it just clicked once when I turned the key. when i turn the key now it clicks many times repeadedly while the key it turned and if my memory serves me correctly the clicks were of different tone.

how about a little diagnostics before you go buying new parts. I have had the same problem before. Check to make sure all the grounds are tight. The bracket that bolts to the tranny that in turn the ground bolts too may be loose. My car did the same thing when my gound was loose. Check all the fuses under the dash. There is one for the charging system. What year is the car? In 1997 the civic had a recall on alt/o2 wiring. Check before you buy parts.
