Ok as most of you know by now i got a mini me swap a6 block z6 head..Just finished putting the head back on and when i start it. The car sounds like a rotary and the check engine light comes on. I dont know how to check it to see what code it is throwing up?? What is wrong

 

it might be your charcole canister is overflowing and spewing oil into your intake manifold, thus lowering your octane number and bogging your engine every once in awhile

happened to my 93 cx when i had the stock motor in
hope i helped ya out

 

also while I was reving the motor..it backfired under the engine bay in the intake side?????

 

just a idea, is your tps and map sensor crossed? i had that happen once with my cx motor.

 

how can you tell if they are crossed??

 

when you get it fixed tell me how it works out...we basically did the same swap in a friend crx...only we put the whole z6 engine in the car...we haven't hooked his vtec up yet though because he owes us money still...we are like 30mins from otown...maybe i'll see it down at sports authority one saturday.

 

oh fosho..i am down there with "good to da last drop" car club alot of the times...

 

i don't think i've ever seen any of their cars...but maybe...i don't over there much because of the cop problems...always running everyone out...but when i did i was mostly my friends just hanging out...checking out the cars...it's kinda like a car show lol...the only place i really go in orlando anymore is allversion, racing zone, or velocity resources. other then it's kinda lame. to much traffic.
