Default Car Battery

What does the brand really matter? I was wondering what would be best for my 1997 Civic LX

OEM
Honda Fit OEM

Brand make no diff., [other then quality] any good brand of batt. will do the job.

I have been using an Interstate batt. in my 94 RS from the day the stock batt. wore out. 94

I've had pretty good luck with Interstate mega-tron 51r has 5yr warranty as well as 500 cold cranking amps.

I agree, Interstate used to be my go to battery brand until about a year ago.

Had so many faulty one's come through the shop that we switched over to the Napa brand and haven't had a single issue yet since the switch.

Currently have a Napa battery in my '87 vette and not a single issue with it since putting it in the car last July.

No need to buy an expensive battery, just try to find a known name brand battery that has a good warranty like Napa, Bosch, Interstate ( if you feel lucky ), Optima etc...

Years ago I had a DieHard Weather Handler (had a snowflake on the label) and that thing lasted for 7 winters until I thought it was dying, replaced it, and the problem ended up being the starter.
