Cant seem to get my timing marks to match..
Went to change my oil and decided to adjust the valves. Noticed when I put the crankshaft pulley on the white mark, the cam puleys were not matching up. They were off by a little bit. So I attempted to correct it like a million times and no luck. I put back the stock cam pulleys to see if that made a difference, nothing. Then I dropped one of the pins from the pulley into the timing belt casing. So decided since Im going to open all that up, might as well get a new belt. Installed the new belt and they still do not match up. Any help???
Don't worry about it. The belt also has a little stretch in it while it is moving. Just do the crank TDC and use the alignment holes to zero in the cams. Be sure the belt is tensioned correctly, too tight and it will stretch more, too loose and you'll be buying a few more parts. After zeroing in the cams with the alignment holes, make a note of where they are (if you have adjustable cam gears)....
