A/F stupidy, please help !?
Ok heres the skinny I hooked up an Autometer A/F guage in an 88 CRX HF with an LS swap. About 3 inches from the ECU I cut the 02 wires and used a male/female blade connector combo to reconnect the wires together(don't ask me why). I had to extend the A/F guage signal wire due to it's placement in my car. I used crimpable barrel connectors for this.
Now the problem is that my gauge, never seems to "sweep" like it's supposed to. I never get it readable measurement when the ECU runs in "open loop" It only appears to read b/t the first red and about the middle orange LEDs. The LEDs are always dim except for when the 02 sensor is not warm, then it is at the brightness it should be all the way rich(like it should be).
My car now bogs and studders if I try and pull in a high gear up from about 1500 or so. It didn't do that before I put the guage in. I'd really like for this guage to operate correcty seeing as how I'm going FI in a month or so. I just got my S-AFC in today too..........
can anyone help?
