cant put rear lower control arm back on
i was trying to put my new kyb agx shocks on, and when i had everything in place and went to bolt everything back, the rear lower control arms would not line up, and it was very difficult to bolt the strut to the LCA, nothing would line up right, one side would always be higher then the other, i have the car sitting on jack stands and havent even done the front yet, anyone have any ideas ???? heres a link to a site that has a pic of the 2 parts i removed http://www.airliftcompany.com/easyst...514(75540).pdf, thx
Bolt the LCA back on to the mounting points in order of sequence from the inside-out.....inner joint (subframe) - shock bolt - outer joint (hub).
It's easier to get everything back into place this way b/c you can move the hub around to line up the holes. Use the carjack to jack up the lower control arm to get the LCA hole closer to the hub.

You just gotta torque the fork so it lines up with the LCA. It shouldn't be too off though. If it is, something isn't right. I had trouble with my fronts on my civic. I just had to have somebody put pressure on the rotor (so the holes align) while I twisted the LCA and pushed the bolt in simultaneously until it caught the right alignment and slipped through. Hope this helped (probably not).
im not having a problem w/ the shock bolting to the lca, ive already bolted that up fine, but when i removed the top part of the lca from the subframe, and when i tried to slide it back in, the holes will not line up, one side is higher then the other so even if i get the bolt in, the other side will not go b/c it is off by about a centimeter, if u look on the link on page 2, figure 2 shows the 2 bolts i removed, im having a problem puttin the one on the right back in, and i cant really twist the lca much at all, ive tried my for like hours today, im thinkin about removing the top control arm to see if that will make i any easier, but thats all for tomorrow, its 9pm now
I understand your dilemma, and my solution works without a doubt....that is unless you run into problems with snapping the bolt or something unexpectedly goes wrong.
Some people have had success with putting a pry bar or big screwdriver into the hole and prying it into place, and sometimes banging on the bolt with a hammer to get the threads to seat if necessary. It never worked for me when I had to install a lower tie bar for the very first time. I've found it's easier to unbolt the entire LCA and reassemble everything.

i agree with IN VTEC...start by bolting the LCA to the inner subframe mount and work your way out. i just did my rear suspension 2 weeks ago b/c i was swapping LCAs and i had no problems using that method to bolt everything back up.
