I cant get the driver side axle to lock into the trani after doing a automatic to manual trani swap. Axle slides in but not all the way? Ive tried 3 different axles and no luck! Im using a d-series EX/Si trani with new stock axles. I know its not the axle but can the receiver in the trani go bad? It feels like the axle locks but then I can pull it out by hand. Passanger side is good. any help would be awsome...

 

no chance a c-clip popped off and is blocking the axle from seating? if not have you tried pushing the axle towards the trans (to take up the slack in it) and lightly tapping it with a medium hammer to try and seat it?

 

Im going to remove the axle and see if the old c clip stayed in the trani. I got the trani used and I never checked! the passanger side goes in fine a locks perfect. Its just driver side giving me problems. Some dude was telling me that I might have a del sol /si trani that requires a half shaft but im not too sure on that issue...

 

it should only need a half shaft if it was a b series trans...I think you would have figured that out by now if that was the problem
