Default Can someone explain this to me??

you know how lil natural is puttin about 300ish hp and runs in the 10s. now lets say a turbo car puts around 300 hp, howcome the turbo cars runs hella slower than the all motor car? just seems weird to me. 300 all motor hp vs. 300 turbo hp. all motor would win every time, howcome?

(sorry, dunno if that made sense or not..)

It some times has to do with wheel spin. If they are both on slicks and traction is not an issue...than it goes to the weight. If they are on street tires...I would put my money on the all motor car. No torque = no wheel spin. Normally NA cars are lighter than the FI anyways.

Well, it depends on the torque and power curves. If you get the 300 hp at 6000rpm on the N/A and get it at 7000rpm on the FI... or visa versa...Then that's your difference.

oh yeah, weight definitely plays the factor.. i'm assuming you're talking about the ugly honda crx in the recent Honda Tuner? did you see how stripped inside and out it was? Now it'd make more sense if a H22A motor in a crx w/ roll cage & 1 racing seat that puts out 300HP than a turbo teg w/ same hp rating? sorry if my grammar sux i'm high....

Hello!!! Hasn't anyone been listening to the pro's? Horsepower is not really the key anymore, anyone can get a 300 Hp Honda, the thing that wins races is a good suspension setup (well a good driver too). Do you honestly think that any of the FWD's have been tuning there engines to get better times? Once the engine is running good you keep it that way sure but to get better times, you have to increase traction. bigger slicks sure but after a while you can only go so big before it starts to hurt your times.

Elivation messes with turbo's and can decrease performance...

Cubo's civic runs 9.24 1/4 mile (recent) and I believe it is a turbo. Almost same setup as lil' natural.

What everyone else said and gearing. The torque band has to be matched with the right gears to keep the engine there.

l natural's crx is a individual throttle bodied prelude motor stroked to like a 2.6 or something unreal....it also ways in with him in the car at like 1800 pounds or so...and he has a tube frame up front...also he has not springs or struts in the back. When he takes off it is impossible for the car to sag...Kubo's civic is nothing like his setup..shes got a b16 stroked to a 1.9 liter

sorry if i sounded like a dick head
