i fucked up the SRS clock spring recently, just wondering if i can soldered wires instead of buying the whole thing , cheers

I don't think so but the clock spring used is about $35 on ebay if you shop around

its mounted behind your steering wheel go on ebay and do a search for clock springs and you'll see
