Default can I mount a tire on this

Im planning on getting new tires cause the metal is starting to show on my current tires. Im a little low on cash and I dont want to buy a new wheel, but if I must then I must. here is the wheel. Maybe there is a cheaper way to fix it and make it capable to have a tire mounted on it. THanks

You could as long as the bead seats with the rim. But that would mean the tire place would have to bang out the rim with a hammer or they can use adjustable wrench to bend it back. Then your rim might look a little mess up. Looks like you been curb surfing.

youd be better off using your spare. or a used steel wheel for a couple bucks

I'd be surprised if that rim held air. that looks pretty bad. junkyard is your friend, get some steelies for cheap.

so have 3 normal wheels and a spare wheel, that would be ugly and useless.

but anyways, is there a way to fix it like if I took it to a wheel shop, or should I just buy another gs-r wheel? thanks

I would say that wheel is beyond repair. Even if you tried to hammer it back into place, it would probably crack.

try some LIGHT heat and an adjustable wrench on the lip to bend it back. hey the worst it will do is mess up your wheel. Otherwise i would hit the junk yard and if worst came to worst get some steel wheels if you cry to the man there you could prolly get them for like 10 bills each. Oh ya and don't try to park along the street after a few beers

Well I have seen a lot of damaged rims like that as long as it is not cracked on the inside where the bead of the tire would sit I think you can get it fixed. I have straightened many steel wheels with my dad on things we have restored and we always heat them up red hot and use vise grips and two hammers and work on them for a while and they will look like new. But since you have Alloy wheels I would not try this heat method, and I would let a shop try and fix it. Here is a place that fixes wheels you might contact them and see if they can fix it up. Well hope this helps, because your rim doesn't look that bad at all as long as it isn't cracked.
