Default can this be done ? pics at bottem

i have a b18c5 sleeved block to 85mm , i hydrolocked it , and threw a rod(crower) threw the bottem of the first cylinder under the sleeve. the bottem of the cylinder has a little notch from where the rod broke in half ,now my question is if i weld the dime size hole and replace the rods with new ones and leave the bottem of the sleeve alone will this work ? what would happen if i put it back together but left the lil notch ?thanks

you can't just say replace rods with new ones, you have to have someone look at the journals to see if they are ok

you cant just put rods in an engine you just destrioed, the entire thing needs to be measured to see if its even usable.

I'm no expert, but I would check for roundness and make sure the sleeve didn't shift at all. As long it it didn't u should be fine, since the piston does not travel down that far.

Just my opinion.

As long as it doesn't affect the piston rings u should be fine. Why don't u check ith your locla builder or machine shop.

I don't really know that much about welding blocks, but from what I know about welding, I wouldn't trust the weld. But, make sure you take it to a good welder.
