my car is acting up real bad.. every time i give it more than half throttle it just bogs out..it almost sounds like a wrx, it doesnt do anything it just sits at the rpm its at and sounds like ****... i upgraded my fuel pump to the walbro 255, should i have upgraded anything else?? it ran fine up untill about a week ago.Any help is appreciated thanks!!

 

Walbro's sound like a badass fuel pump, from what i understand from this forum. You could have blown out your regulator just from age. Maybe. Not a whole lot of info on what she's doing to ya.

 

well the regulator is a start. ill give it a shot and see what happens..

That setup it totally overkill unless you need the fuel.

well thats what i was planning on doing untill things took a sudden twist on me and i wrecked my car.. so i pulled the motor out and put it in a shell that i had.. it was running fine up in till about a week and a half ago.. say im at like 4000 rpm and i punch it, it bogs out and it just drops rpms and if i keep the pedal down it does nothing at all, it sounds like a wrx.. i have an ls with Crower Stage 2's..

 

It sounds like its either running too rich? or too lean? Misfiring, anyway. Are you using the same ECU in both cars? Maybe the Crowers you're using are too much for a possibly stock ECU, and it can't keep up. Does it run OK if you don't have your foot in it's ***?

 

well it did run ok untill i would put my foot on its ***...lol but yesterday it just started to missfire really ******* bad.. to the point where i couldnt give it gas at all.. im thinking im going to have to put the SAFC back in it.. and yes im still using the same ecu, just with out the SAFC...

 

gas tank plus rust.. not good thats what it was.. it was full of rust and clogging up the fuel pump filter.. so i replaced it with a new one and now shes running good...

 

Sweet. It's nice when you fix **** yourself and get the ol' mule running again. Good to hear.
