Default Camshafts Break in?

Do you have to break in your new cams with only changing the cams not the rest of the valvetrain . and do you have to use non-synthetic oil to do that .

you dont have to but just try not to be too rough on it for like the first 30min it's running, and synthetic is fine

So just lube the lobes and bearings (special oil/grease that they provide)and run it for 30min on idle or constantly raise the rpm to 2000rpm or so to ensure oil to lubricate cams...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thank you for your help...

idle for 30 min? no...

There is no break in period for cams in my opinion.

I would recommend a high quality moly lube on your rocker arms and on the cam journals.

Once your car is warmed up, and everything is fine... In my opinion, letting it idle for 30 min isnt gunna do anything. Once you turn on the car you have ~25psi of oil keeping those cam journals lubed....

Making it idle isnt gunna allow the oil to "soak in" or anything
