Default Camshaft Stages

I have a d16y8 in my car now, and I have been batting around the idea of upgrading the camshaft. I know that the higher the stage of the cam, the better the lift and duration and all of that. But the issue is I am looking for simplicity, so does anyone know of a stage 2 cam that would not requre new valve train? Or am I completely retarded for wanting to do that?

Not all "stage 2" cams have the same specs, it's just a name. You would have to read and compare lift, duration, etc for what you're looking for. Most of these cams are going to have slightly more aggressive primary lobes and chances are way more aggressive secondary, combine that with peak power at *probably* a higher rpm, and throw stock valvetrain in the mix? Asking for a whole lotta trouble.
