Default cam lobes???

i put a set of ctr cams in my jdm b16

it feels possibly slolwer throughout the powerband

the center lobes on the ctr cams are bigger then the lobes on the ones i took out

what does the center lobes control? should they be bigger then the b16 ones?

ALSO

is there any markings, engravings, or stamps on the cams so that i can id them

THEY ARE OEM HONDA CAMS

THANKS

The center lobe is the high rpm vtec lobe. Now that you have a cam with more duration you have lowered your effective comression ratio. Bigger is not always better. You should advance your cam to raise the effective compression ratio and you may gain a little power back.
