Cam gear question
I have a quick question about Cam Gear; it is OK to use one adjustable cam gear on the intake side and leave the exhaust side stock? This setup will be for a 96 LS motor with Crower 403 cams, dual valve spring & TI retainer, the head is all stock. The reason why I ask this question is because a local performance part store sell me a HKS cam gear, and they said there is one specific for intake and the other for exhaust; they don't sell it as a set.
that shop is full of ****... the cam gears are identicle. you can stick ither one on the other and it won't make any difference. Cam gears can only bolt on one way as long as you put the drift key in the slot of the cam and the gear.
