Cam Gear Installation.
Couldn't find a write up anywhere for installing Cam Gears.
Just a quick question about installation. Do you have to take off the valve cover and take the cams out or anything. Sorry for the newbie question.

yup and nope. valve cover comes off. you'd have to loosen the cam gear bolts before loosening the belt. Cams themselves dont come out. Make sure you get the right open end to hold the cam and keep them from turning. Also, make sure when you replace the cam gears you have them in the same position as the factory before removal. So mark them on the belt or something.
Of course, I just like to post my thoughts. I'm no expert. just to clarify that.

wont learn if u dont try right.
put the engine at TDC, take the valve cover off and take the timing belt off. loosen the 14mm bolt holding the cam gears off. (maybe it was 12mm). take the old one off, zero out the new cams and make sure u tighten the adustment bolts and install the new ones. replace the timing with the same one or if ur at a 90k interval i would replace the belt and the waterpump with new ones. once everything is back on shine ur timing light and get it timed. then drive to ur reputable shop to get it tuned. have fun.
