Default Cam Cap question...

A friend of mine has a type r head with gsr camshafts...not really sure why... but he said he needs new cam caps. I assume he could use type r cam caps but I'm not really sure. Is that correct? and also..Does anybody know where to buy some?

it shouldnt matter

i was told you had to use whatever cam caps came with the head but ive swapped out different ones on mine and had no issues

I've learned that honda doesnt sell them individually or in a set, so pretty much the only way to get these is a junk yard or used in the forums right?

NO!!!! You cannot just switch cam caps.They are just like main caps and are cut for the head they are on.Very rarely you can get away with it but usually you need to get them line bored to work.
