my e-brake on my left caliper isn't working. i was wondering if anyone know if the repair kit can fix it. somehow the **** that hooks up to the cable doesn't work(or just lightly), but when using a wrench to turn it other way, it works. the cable is fine. the piston on the caliper is still good with the brakes so i don't want to get new ones unless i really have to. any suggestions? thanks.

The **** that hooks the cable...are you talking about the cable on the E-brake handle inside the car ?

Or by the left rear caliper?

rebuilt calipers are like $70.00

 

the **** where the cable connects to the caliper. it only engages when turned the other way.

 

I think your talking about the pin with the locking spring release pin.

Spray it with wd-40 and free it up, spray up the cable too.

I think that's what your looking for.

 

i took off the spring and the cable braket to turn the **** with a wrench, and it's not working when turning the same way of the cable. is it possible to repair it? I'm guessing mostly not, but not sure.
