Default Cable and Hydrolic clutches, interchangeable?

Hey guys, a friend has a Del Sol witha hydro tranny, and I have a 91 CRX Si. Both B series. We want to trade clutches. To my understanding this is possible. Is it true?

We just want to switch clutch, not trannys. I have a B20.

thats not 100 percent true.

92-93 LS cable trannys are big spline. as with all hydro trannys.

JDM cable trannys are the same way. if you got one from a EF then its going to be small splined.

if it came from an XSI(integra) in the 92-93 years. it will be large spline.

I have a YS1. Pretty sure that's a 92-93 GSR tranny but 90-91 LS's were also stamped YS1 if I'm not mistaken. My 92 GSR has a YS1 as well...

all 92+ b-series trannies can swap clutches because, as it was said, they have larger splines on the counter shaft.
all JDM S1/J1/Y1 trannies HAVE to use the 90-91 integra clutch disks because the trannies have smaller splines on the counter shaft.

90-91 b-series trannies were labeled A1/S1 and i think J1.
92-93 GSR and LS trannies were BOTH labeled YS1.

and to answer the original question, you can only swap clutches if the CRX has a YS1 tranny.
