Default Cabin/ECU wire harness problem

I drive a 1998 Honda Civic EX. My car got stolen a few months ago and i recently got it back. I'm putting in a B16A2 and i have a major problem. The installation is finished except that i'm missing one plug; the A plug(where the injector wires are in). This plug supposed to be inside my car and for some reason Its missing. There is no wires cut. I went to a junk yard and try looking for the harness and where it can be in my car. I saw atleast 4 civics and they all have that harness missing. I searched everywhere, i MEAN EVERYWHERE. Can anyone tell me where it is or tell me other ways to get it to work.

anybody???

I recently looked at a friend's civic and i noticed that it came from her D16Y8 wire harness. I thought it supposed to come from the cabin? I still don't have one for my B16. What do i do?

reason why it is missing is because (i assumed) you are using the USDM B16A2 engine harness the 99-00 Civic harness only have 2 plug ecu, while a 96-98 have 3.

so your solution is get a 96-98 Civic EX harness and adapt it to your USDM B16A2.

back from the dead...

i have a friend that has 98 Civic Dx hatchback and he swapped in a 99 Civic EX motor.. he never got it wired correctly so he ordered a 99-00 engine harness to plug into the 99-00 EX ecu that came w/ the swap.. thing is he only had 2 plugs on the 99 EX harness while his ecu has 3 plugs... he car still doesnt work correctly and his speedo, and other small things dont work, for example he cant check the CEL cause the CEL is on constantly when the car is started and when you short out the serice connector..

i told him i think he got an engine harness from a 99-00 ex AUTO and he needs one for a 99-00 5 SPEED.. does that sound right? do automatic civics only use 2 harness for the engine harness and then another plug for the automatic computer thing they have to plug into the car ecu???

Yeah, I just ran into this. With a 99-00 civic si (manual)harness.

The "engine harness" has 3 plugs that run to passenger side kickpanel:

The other ecu plug, and the spot for the green plug are on a harness that lives in the chassis.

he does not have that grey plug there that is part of the chassis engine harness.. is this just the chassis harness that he is going to need to get? he junked the stock 96-98 engine harness that had 3 plugs on it so its not like he can go back and just get a conversion harness now...

what harness does or can he buy that has all three plugs??
