Default A/C question... R134a vs. HFC-134a

Hey I have a question for you guys....My A/C compressor just went out and I just found one for sale. The guy seling this one says its from a JDM motor and says it uses HFC-134a as refrigerant. The compressor I had been using was using R134a as refrigerant. Can any A/C gurus tell me if I should buy this guy's A/C compressor and if I'll be able to use R134a refrigerant?
