A/C problem!!!! The compressor is not kicking in... any ideas?? *****NEED HELP!!!*****
I have a 1994 integra LS. Running 10 lbs of boost. The a/c has worked before, and now it just stopped working, kinda of out of the blue.
I checked all the fuses, they are all good, and i checked grounds, thats also fine. The horn was acting up on me as well, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, so i thought it was a ground problem.
Its a older car, so i can't just get more refrigerant and put it in on my own, because i thought maybe its not cycling because it has no freon.
Im open for any subjections, and i i will look at anything you may think is the problem. i am driving her home tonight (3.5 hours) and i really wish i had a/c.

test if the compressor engages by starting and running the car and taking a wire that is possitive (maybe from the battery) and check if it turns on that way and then tell us your finds
well, heres something else... The horn and the siren are not working.. The siren is factory, and neither one works, alone with the a/c. I ran a wire right from the battery to the compressor, and it kicked in, so that rules out a few things. I didn't run it long at all, because if all the freon did leak out, its not good to run it dry.
But because the horn and siren don't work, it makes me think something else is wrong...
I can hear the click of the horn relay when i hit the button inside as well.
If is was a bad ground problem, running a power wire from the battery wouldn't turn on the a/c, right?
Any other ideas or help with this would be great.... Its still hot out, and i want to be able to honk at stupid people who don't see the green light!!

You have to put some ac guages on it & check your pressures. If it is low on 134 the low pressure switch will not allow the compressor to kick on. That is the first thing I would check. If you don't have gauges just try and add a can of 134 with dye, & see if the compressor comes on. You know that the compressor is working because you jumped it. It could also be a bad relay for the clutch or compressor. I believe if the 134 is low you can jump the low pressure switch & the compressor should come on. Trying to help, but its hard not having the car in front of me.
actually it will still kick on if theres a bad ground, my ac and horn didnt work becuz i forgot to put all the grounds back and it kicked on when i directly ran a positive from the battery. when i added all the grounds back, everything worked perfectly fineg
There is a relay, right behind the bumper cover, on the drivers side, im gonna take a look at that yet. Its just that i don't have any of the a/c tools to test to see if im out of freon or not.
