Default A/C leaks water inside car - help!

I have a 5th gen Accord, and when the air conditioning is run, water drips (in great quantities) from the dash above the passenger footwell. I assume a drain is blocked, but this is my first experience with an A/C system.

Is this something that I can fix, or does it need to be looked at by a specialist?

I checked the factory workshop manual, but did not find any information that seemed helpful.

You can start by taking off the hose that drains the AC evaporator and seeing if there's any trash in there you can clear out. If there's a whole lot, you may have to take the evaporator box apart, not an easy task, something you may want to give to someone else. You'll have to evac the AC system if you want to take it apart, so that alone is a problem.

Take a blow gun and give the a/c drain under the car a shot. That fixes it 99% of the time.

Thanks very much for the info, guys...that's exactly what I was looking for. I don't have a compressor, but at least I know exactly WHAT to ask for if I call around to some shops (i.e. "I need to have my A/C drain blown out...")

Confirmed. If the problem reoccurs within a month, then you may have a problem...
