C.E.L. came on while I was driving....
My check engine light just came on out of the blues while I was driving home (code 1 for the primary O2 sensor & 22 for the vtec oil press. switch) but when I turn the ignition off and back on, it's gone--no c.e.l. but the code is still there if i connector the jumper. Though now when I pull the jumper out, the light is permanently gone, but with it connected, the codes seems to still be there. What would cause this to come on even though the sensor and oil switch seems to work fine?
if your car is obd2 then it stores codes until they are erased. but it seems to be happening intermittenly. that is why having a scanner can be very helpfull, it tells you exactly whenn the mil came on and what was going on in the car when it happend. but enough with the tool-tech. if it comes on again try to remember what the car was doin at the time, ie:wot, snap, idle, cruise, cold, start, hot, things like that. then you can see if something is malfunctioning.
code 22 vtec oil pressure, this probably came on when vtec was supposed to kick in, do you remember if vtec kicked or not?

I was driving normally and shifting at around 3.5k rpm and my vtec always kicked in even after that light came on but went away. It's originally obd2 but I've been running a harness with a p28 for awhile now so that's why i'm wondering what the hell this could be.
