Busted the main fuel line going into the filter from the pump on a '01 Prelude. I need some ideas on how to fix this: I need the fastest/easiest solution.
- Should I replace the entire line with steel braided pipe from the pump to the filter?
- Can I repair the end of the fuel line somehow? I was thinking possibly a small length of steel braided line from the metal pipe up to the filter. Would that be prone to leaking?
The break is where the line screws into the fuel filter. It was overly tight from the factory and twisted when I tried to change out the filter.

If the car's an '01 Prelude, it should still be under warranty. You may be able to file a warranty claim for it, though you'll probably have to argue with them that you didn't break it and it was because of overtightening at the factory.
there is a way that you can reflare the metal line and put a new fitting on it but i have always had that done at napa. so you might have to take the whole line out unless you cn get youre hands on the that tool used to flare the line out with. it will be a little short and you will have let the filter hang but you said quik and easy right
