Default Burning injector cleaner

Does injector cleaner burn like normal gas? Is it a performance compromise to have it in my tank during a race? Also, would it be dangerous for me to run my tank low, put in the cleaner, and then drive around on that for a day?

I always make sure to have a pure tank of gas when I race, even though I don't notice any performance compromise from having injector cleaner in there. But please share your wisdom. Thanks.

Dan

I heard from some mechanics that injector cleaner is not so good for your fuel pump and rubber components in the fuel sytem. It tends to wear the rubber around the fuel pump and o-rings on the injectors.
Also dont try that running the gas low thing, if in fact the above info is true it would be detrimental to the fuel sytem.
I think best thing to do is clean your injectors with the pressurized version at a shop!!
Unless of course you could afford $500 to $1000 on a kit!!
