bumpy idle and engine shut off only during hot days
I have an civic DX and it idles normal during normal outside temps. But when it gets really hot outside the idle isn't steady and is gets so low it shuts off the motor. It can get so bad that it will not idle at all and just shut off when gas is released. Final issue is most the time when this happens the car does not want to start back up, it cranks and cranks but will not start. But when running and driving the motor runs EXCELLENT and smooth!?
Here's what I have checked:
-spark plugs seem normal
-spark seems good
-distributor/cap/rotor is like only 6 months old
-timing is good
any ideas of what else I should check out or what the problem is? Any advice would be helpful.
