Default built bottom end

I hear this term a lot but i dont know what exactly it means. What exactly does building your bottom end consist of. Is it just like replacing parts. Do you take it to a shop or what. And is an engine build up the same thing. I know im dumb but you gotta start somewhere right.

Try doing a search through the archived tech posts. They're awesome

Short answer: Building the bottom end usually consists of upgrading the internals, like the rods and pistons, etc.

ya that pretty much summarizes a BUILT BLOCK. you can go from jus upgrading the rods and pistons.. to Sleeving a block and doing custom bores to even changing the Stroke on the Crank.
