Default built block question

my friend is selling his built block, he droped a valve so third piston has a hole in it, its sleeved, bored out to 85mm ,the one sleeve has light scrathes, i want to know if it would be a good buy what to look for and what i need to do to get it runnig again, you guys think it spun a bearing? bore it out to 85.5mm? since it has light scrathes? any help would be great.

nobody can really tell what happened without a few good pictures and it'll b hard to tell if .5mm just by "light scratches". pics will help a bunch

If its a light scratch and i mean light, you can hone the cylinder, and as far as the piston goes obviously you need to replace it. if i were you i would go the extra mile and get the crank polished, ACL bearings and eagle rods, as far as pistons go thats up to you, i have had really good luck with the Hbeam rods for any app. all motor or turbo..had a 800 hp rsx no problems and it was straight track.

Well the motor was build by Laskey racing so the block has all the goodies. Hopefully I can get some pics taken
