Default built b20vtec redline

my goal is to build a my b18c1 to 2.0 (b20). im boring 84mm(1979cc) i beleive. with arias pistons and eagle rods. what could this setup rev to?? and if your running b20/vtec, what redline are u hitting?? thanx

If you have a B18c and you bore it out to 84mm, it's only gonna give you 1932.9cc because of the shorter stroke (87.2 for the GSR as opposed to the 89mm b20/ls stroke)... A B20 is 1973cc, not 1979cc. Just to clear things up.

If you want a 2L GSR, you can bore it out to 84.5mm which will give you 1956cc, or 85mm which will then give you 1979cc... If you do this, you will definately need to resleeve the block. Since you're using a GSR crank, you should have no problem revving it.

I'm doing almost the same thing -- taking a B18C, sleeved to 84.5, using Arias. I think the bottom end will do 10k if the works done well.

Top end, though, also needs attention to get there. You'd want to go with lighter valves, better springs, titanium retainers.. to reduce weight and avoid 'float'.

I'll probably still set the redline at 9200 -- I'd rather have the thing last a while...
