Default built B18B questions

I have access to buying a built B18B1

Benson built:
Benson sleeves
Je pistons
Crower rods
balanced and I believe true blueprinted
(projected boost capabilities 35PSI)

I was wondering if anyone in here knows much about the Benson built motor?

I just started hearing a little metal-metal rattle in my motor today due to some obscene oil loss. which really sucks ***.

no clue. but from the looks of it so far. It lokos liek the breather filter off the valve cover is soaked in oil so I think it has been escaping through that. but there isn;t much oil everywhere. not 3 quarts worth.

Anyone still heard anything about the Benson built motor?? I would liek to know if anyone knows of anyone running that at all.

your problem is right there......that stupid little 5 dollar breather filter just cost you a really expensive engine. there is a reason why there should be a hose connected from the valve cover to the intake pipe. your PCV system isnt working correctly causing long term engine damage.

get rid of the filter and maybe consider running a seperate oil catch can.

good luck

What about those of us who have no way of connecting a hose to the valve cover? Will we eventually suffer from long term engine damage? This topic never seems to get any resolution. I'm always hearing mixed opinions.

I am boosted though as well. so there is no hose to plug into it for me. I was thinking about the catch can though. Thats a good idea for sure.

STILL WAITING FOR ANY THOUGHTS ON THE BENSON BUILT MOTOR THOUGH.

I have experience with Benson, but not a complete engine by them. What exactly are you trying to find out? Be more specific.

See first post as well as below:

I was wondering if you could tell me of the quality or a website they have so I can do some more research on them.
