Hello again,

About a week ago i noticed some brown fluid on the floor. I looked underneath the car and it was dry so i just let it be. Tonight however, the brown fluid was there again and i inspected the engine bay and saw the same brown fluid



I looked around the power steering reservoir and there was no visible leak.

Eventually it seemed to have originated underneath the (looking from the front) right engine mount





Does anyone know what it is and is it going to break or cause major problems?

Identify exactly where it's coming from and what it is. It you notice, the PS reservoir is right there.

 

I've had a look around the reservoir and there doesn't seem to be any fluid leaking and nothing underneath. I will have another look tomorrow after work and report back.

Also, the PS fluid doesn't seem to have gone down.

 

The motor mount has liquid inside. Get a new one.

 

Thanks for the reply. Obviously the fluid is in there for a reason but if i dont replace it straight away is it going to cause serious damage to the car?

I'd be looking to do this in the next few months.
