Default broke the welds

I got a 94 LS, its lowered 2.5" so I hit alot of **** on the road....there was a chunk of cement in the road but I thought I'd clear it....but it hit the bracket on my cat...and about midway down the pipe, about the middle of car right behind the shift linkage...it broke the welds on the hanger, and ripped like a inch hole in the pipe. This is hole is making a louder noise than my exhaust...it sounds like really RICE, and I hate it. I need a temporary solution to the problem. Anybody know what I can do? It vibrates and sounds like ****. I was thinking of putting exhaust tape, or putting a piece of aluminum around it and clamping it, then putting muffler mend around it, hoping it would seal. Thats what I wanted to do, but does anyone have a better suggestion? Thanks.

well, this is kinda ghetto, no really ghetto but works. Cut the ends off a pop can and hose clamp it aground the hole. This works and you shouldent have to waste any more maney than that. I reccomend cutting out the bad section and welding in a new piece of tubeing.

LoL, I did exactly that, going to let the muffler mender stuff harden up before I start it, I put it on the can so it would hopefully seal it. Thanks for the info.

JB Weld is a good temporary solution.
