buying used rods
I have always wondered if this is a good thing or bad thing.. I mean if the rods are in good shape are they worth buying?
also.. is there anything to look for when buying used rods?

There's nothing wrong with buying used rods as long as they're straight, and without cracks. Any bends should be obvious, but I'd take them to a machine shop and have them checked just to make sure.
