Default broke some stuff (very bad)

i have been doing this for a while now and i have never seen anything like it.

Set up is a 99 accord 5speed f23a1 with a new bottom end rebuid, ported polished head decked .0040, crower regrind camshaftwith , adj fp regulator fuel rail aem cam gear aem v2 intake and a 100 shot of nos.

i've pulled the motor several times b/c that is what happens when your spraying with an adjustible system but anyway this last time i pulled the head because of a compression issue. I've been using stainless valves but since no one makes anything for the f23 as far as valve train i think one problem was the weak springs
(i made 247whp anyway at top speed atlanta)

i pulled the head and the valve had been pulled past the retainers right after i hit my rev limiter during a full shot and a huge backfire through the intake. any way i replaced the valves with factory valves and drove for an hour or 2 i noticed there was no power so i pulled the valve cover and i noticed the little gold metal flaps on the exhaust rocker shaft that presses against the rockers were broke all of them...

what would cause this? i remember also having a dificult time adjustind the coresponding valves during assembly. help honda tech.
