breaking in a used engine?

I would take it easy for a little while just to make sure you didn't forget a bolt or hose.. or something like that.. but if got everything installed correctly ... GO FOR IT

I would give it a 500mi break in just like a new engine. The reason? The engine may have been stored for an extended period of time (years) on its side with the cylinders/pistons in a horizontal position. Just in case, take it easy on it to hopefully get the piston rings to re-seat properly.

Just be nice to it for the first week of driving... don't go racing everyone you see for about a week... and be sure to check all your fluids daily as well as all hoses and vacuum lines. Better safe than sorry.
Ya i guess it is better to be safe than sorry. its a 95 motor so who knows how long its been sitting. thanks for all the help, cant wait to pick it up
