Default b20 or itr crank

whats the power loss from using itr crank in a b20 vtec compared to the b20 crank..
im wondering if its worth it to run an itr crank for more relaibility and slightly higher revs (supposedly)

im thinking the engine will still be just as prone to failure as it would be with the b20 crank .
i know itll have a better r/s ratio.. butttt. i dont know if its worth it..

look up Omniman's gsr cranked b20vtec dyno, definitely worth it to put a 87mm crank in there if money is not a issue. It will cost a lot more though with the crank, rods, pistons, and machine work

i was already swapping out pistons and rods for some so all id really be paying more than i would before is what id buy the crank for.
plus toda makes pistons for b20 blocks with itr/gsr cranks so if toda is actually supporting that setup it must be good

Toda's pistons will work w/ b20/ls rods too.

I'd stick w/ the 89mm crank (b20/ls).

Not worth theb money and loss of hp/tq & displacement for .03 higher of a r/s ratio.

Run a girdle, arp main studs/ Head studs/ rod bolts, vtec oil/water pumps. You'll be good.

Endyne makes a girdle, GE has a full girdle kit w/ new, windage tray, oil pickup, & main bolts too, or you can run a modified itr/gsr girdle.
