Default Brand new engine harness Wrapping

I would like to put in good condition my B serie engine harness.
What do you advice me to do and which wrapping or tape do you advice me to buy?

Go old-school and loose all the convoluted tubing, [split loom], get a few rolls of good quality electric tape, [color match to your car if you want] and "back-tape" the whole thing.

Start by removing tape and convoluted tubing from the harness, [best if done in sections] start with one wrap of the tape, then flip the tape over and wrap that section of harness with the tape "upside-down" with about half the tape overlap, once you reach the end of the section, flip the tape over again and "re-wrap the section, [sticky sides together] again with a half tape overlap, this makes the harness very flexible as no sticky tape is stuck to the wiring.

We do all our rewires that way, unless a customer wants something diff., if you want to go real old-school use friction tape, [also called hockey tape].

At high friction areas do a second layer of back taping. 94

It's a matter of debate but, some people feel that the wire loom (tubing) protects better than just tape alone. Even though it's not necessary, at work we loom the wire bundles so they look as factory as possible. You can also get different colors of loom. That being said, wire bundles with just tape are much, much easier to work with.

Plastic wire loom looks cheap - try side entry shrink tubing or braided side entry tubing.
cable organizer.com has some interesting options
