Default brake upgrade help

at the moment i have 300mm discs and accord type r calipers but i want to go from 17's to 15 inch wheels
after a bit of research ive discovered that the accord coupe 3.0 v6 uses the same caliper as the accord type r but the difference is that the coupe v6 uses 282mm discs and im wondering what i would need to do to convert mine to work with 282mm discs
i know wat discs i need but wat do i do about the calipers position

The main problem you haven't discussed what hub you are using. If you are using the stock hub, then you are probably using a caliper extender bracket, correct?

If you could provide a little more info about your car and what you have done to it with your brake setup it would help us be able to anwser your question.

my car is an ek vti (si to u guys)
the accord is 5 stud and mine are still 4 stud so as far as i know its the original hubs as they were recomended and fitted by a so called honda specialist(they are complete **** but thats another story)
i have the calipers and discs from the accord type r re drilled discs to 4 stud
i assume that its the standard accord type r carriers that are used and directly bolted on or modified to fit but as i didnt fit em and was only told wat car they were off thats about all i know about them

i know very little bout this subject so please correct me if im wrong
am i right in saying that the caliper carrier is what holds the caliper in the position it is and that if i were to swap the accord type r carriers for the v6 caliper carriers it would reposition the caliper for 282mm discs

WOW 300mm rotors that is a 11.8 in rotor. what car did that come off from? accord type-r how big is the piston on that caliper. well here in the states i run a 282mm i believe off of a acura ledgen, with the ledgen dual piston caliper. what i had to do was redrill the rotors, geta set of 1/8" wheel spacers and turn them down so they would fit behind the rotor. SO... it would be hub, spacer, then the rotor. after that i just bolted up the caliper. Theoretically to answer your question, if u switch the carriers, or the caliper braker (what i call it) it should fit, BUT you would need to run the pads off of a the v6, unless u change out the side shims fro mthe toehr carrier and the pad clears.
