Default Bore block to 84mm - What about the HEAD ? ? ?

i'm getting a B16 head done up by alaniz to put on my gsr block.
i'm thinking of resleeving to 84 mm's...i think alaniz also offers a service
to open up the chambers or something to 84 mm?

do i really need to do this to my head if i resleeve?
what are the advantages?
and
will the advantages be great?

if done right you can see gains.
not totally necessary though.

One advantage would be that you are able to de-shroud the valves more with the increased bore dimension which will aid in mixture homogeny and increase flow.

Also by keeping the same size combustion chamber, but increasing the cylinder volume you are increasing the compression ratio of the engine....the b16 has one of the smallest combustion chambers...so you can open it up a bit. I will help the quench fact , and can make the compression ratio a little lower/safer.

The GSR cylinder head has less cc volume than the B16A and ITR cylinder heads.

Alaniz will upen up your combustion chambers to match the bores but that option is only available on the higher combination packages. He will not do this if your buying the street master package. FYI
But I will say that Alaniz does some excellent cylinder head work

if you dont match the head to the bore you may create hot spots.
hot spots = detonation
