Default Block Questions

Ok guys here is what i need to know, I have a B16A2 block sittin in my garage that i picked up for free cause of a broke ringland and severly scared sleeve in cylinder #4. The external portions of the block are totally missing, and building the block is my next big project. I know i am missing the large coolant pipe on the back of it, I need to know what else i need to make this thing work that is externally mounted on the back of this block, If anyone has some pictures of the back of a B16 block or and good info on what it needs that would be great. FYI it does have the water pump and oil pump, oil pan and baffle, crank rods and pistons. It will be resleved and built if i can ever figure out what goes on the outside of the block, Thanks for your help guys.

If you're planning to put the engine into your car, then I'd just have the block sleeved, and buy the internals for it. Everything from the 00 Civic SI should swap right over.

I know they will swap over but my plans are not to put this motor in my Si i am puttin it into a EG hatch or coupe, and in order to see what was on there i would have to take my JRSC off to see it its all up in the way.

I am asking there is a coolant pipe on the back of the engine block, is there anything else there too i cant remember I think there is some sort of black box, and this motor will be built all motor and going into a hatch or coupe like my previous post states. Thats why i am asking. I need to know so i can get the parts to make it work.

i got you my bad i guess i didnt read your first post well enuff. on the back of the block is that coolant pipe that you already know about. a knock sensor, oil pressure sensor. the PCV box which is what recycles oil fumes back into your intake manifold. i would highly do without this and just get an endyn breather kit. the b16 motors didnt have an oil cooler like some gsr's and ITR's so i guess you can grab ITR stuff and make your own oil cooler on there.
