Default big throttle bodies...

just wanted to know who out there is using a 70mm throttle body on their NA DOHC vtec & how they like it. did anyone have any problem adjusting idle or tps position?
i just recently purchased a 70mm from erick's racing. it seems to work well, especially w/ skunk2 itm. i just want to know are there disadvantanges of running such a large tb, even w/ right fuel intake amount?

You might runn lean if everything is worked over ie. Porting the head and mani. . however if it's not you would get a greater effect with higher compression.

How much air is going throught he motor and what are the mods just seeing if you even require a larger thrl body. because a larger thrl body can fool you into thinking you have more power, because it acts like your smaller body at a less angle . meanig you only have to open the body a smaller amt. to get the same effect. thus giving you the effect of a fasteeer car because you didnt have to push down as far. get it!!!

just a cold air intake for a type r are my only air mods, but i plan to build block & head eventually. i know in the future a tb will help for sure, but as of now, w/ out itm ported to match 70mm, i don't expect to feel significant hp gains. i'm just shooting for better air flow & throttle response.
