Before I start describing my problem please look at these pictures.
What connector is this? Brake lights switch?
What plug is that connected to Brake switch?(top of pic)
Clutch pedal switch & clutch interlock switch. See the cut cables and splices?
Now on to the problem...
93 civic Si
My brake lights haven't been working so after trouble shooting, checking fuses and relays, putting new bulbs, checking grounds nothing solve the problem. So my last thing to check was the Brake switch pedal. Bought a new one and problem not solved.. so I see the blue connector (picture 1)but I thought it was for the clutch pedal since when I bought the car it would start without pressing the clutch... but just for the sake of testing I connected the blue connector to my brake pedal switch and BOOOOm... my brake lights now work perfect.
The problem lies that now that I disconnected the plug that was on the brake switch (picture 2) to connect the blue one.. the car won't freaking start.
So I decided to check the clutch pedal switch hoping I connect this plug there but then I found not only that this connector won't fit there but I found the mess in picture 3 and 4.
For now I connected everything how it was to be able to run the car but my safety inspection is coming in 3 weeks so I gotta fix this brake lights issue.
Can I disconnect and jump the connector currently on brake switch (picture 2) to fire up the car or nahhh?
The brake light switch plug will have a green/white, [output] lead in it and the other will most likely be a white/green lead, [input power].
The top switch, [yellow plug] in 3rd pix is the CIS [clutch interlock switch] black is ground input to switch and the blue/black is output, to starter relay, normally open]
The lower switch, [white plug] is for cruse control, black is ground input to switch and pink is output to CC unit, [normally closed] 94

Ok.. the blue plug on picture below does have a green/white wire.. and white/green wires as well so this should be the brake switch plug. This is the one that was disconnected/dangling.
Now the question is.. which is this plug pictured below? This one was connected to Brake switch. If I disconnect this one and connect the real brake switch then the car won't start(but brake lights work).
I don't see any other open plug where I can connect this one so I can have the car fire up and have the brake lights to work.
It looks like the CIS, [clutch interlock switch] plug is in place but the leads have been cut, [yellow plug w/ black and blue/black leads] dig around and see if you can find a black lead connected to a blue/black lead.
I am not sure why the engine is not starting now and it did with the wrong plug plugged into the brake switch, maybe coincidental, maybe the black and blue/black got disconnected when you where messing around with the wiring, I can see some leads that are just twisted together. 94

I bought the car like this and this were hidden things I could not check before but I'm finding now. Yes the CIS leads were cut and the cables spliced together... it was easier to jump the connector..lol.. and leave the cables untouched.. they did this so the car could start without pressing the clutch..
I was told yesterday by the person who sold me the car the plug that was connected to the brake switch is for the pgm-fi starter relay.
I am in the process of returning these wires to stock like condition, unless I can find a virgin harness to replace it.

Alright this issue is fixed now.
I found the starter relay way up there on the drivers side of the dash... almost had to hire a magician to plug it in but i got it..
Car fires up now and brake lights are finally working.
