well today i put the h22 hatch up on the lift to do the clutch got a new act hdss and i take the tranny off and ive been having some leaking problems and come to find out there is a little hair line crack on the inside of my transmission....but my question is can i clean it very good then put some jb weld on it for the time being so i dont have to go out and get a new transmission?
I really see a prob with that, just make sure it cures properly before putting the trans together. Or you can try this http://www.muggyweld.com/ also do a google on it and you'll find other companies that offer similar products.

i think you may have forgotten the word "don't" anyway, i don't see a problem with that either but if you have a substantial leak, then i'd look elsewhere.

It sort of depends on what the crack looks like. I've been inside H-series trannies before, and it looks like there are all sorts of cracks, but they are just casting flash. If you can't see the crack on the outside of the case, then you have nothing to worry about. It's normal.

no i can see a little minut crack on the inside and my teacher said its really nothing to worry bout its just that trann fluid (10w-30) synthetic is leaking and ive been filling it up every 5 days for the past month and he said as long as i clean the surface very good i should be fine with jb weld
I bashed a chunk out of my tranny case right next to the flywheel (gotta love how low that sucker hangs in a EG), and drove it like that for 2 weeks. JB weld that ****!!! Ghetto racing is the ish.
that's the bellhousing, it's only there to house the clutch assembly and protect it from debris. He's talking about a crank in his tranny case. Again, jb weld will work great.
