Just to add fuel to the fire, D-series cam in more varients there were released in America 
ive compare alot of parts and our aussie D16Y1's came in 92-95 civics. SOHC VTEC and almost the same in every way to the Z6. One difference is it used a MLS headgasket from the factory. For this reason, i say, IT is the strongest d-series
