What happens if you bend a valve? How can you bend it? Whats signs show that tells you that you bent a valve?

Shitty idle, overrev so a piston touches one. You can see it really easy with a vaccum gauge. It fluctuates.

 

Low compresion. Very high leakdown. Loose valve lash.

 

humm,
my ole motor does have shitty idle ...feels like its runing on 2 cyl's and it stalls 40sec after cold start up. After its been driven
and warmed up ...it idles good with a slight fluctuation between 700-800rpms.

yes thats the same thing what happen to my friend on his type r. he took to get it checked at honda and to get it fixed will be about 1,800. hes still driving it like that. its been over a year now. i dont think its a good idea to be driving it like that. i told him id suggested he get it sent out to port flow and have it rebuilt P&P and stuff. what do you guys think? please post

 

Driving with a bent valve is NOT a good idea.

Nothing really. I just wanted to know what happens with a bent Valve. I was just thinking, because of my weird idle. Where can I go to get my valves checked out?

 

he told me it happened at the track. i cant really remember the story but all that i can remember is when he tried shifting to 4th right. and for some reason it went to 2 second gear. im thinking he let the rpm go up all the way and didn't hold the clutch to put it on neutral. Could of saved the motor from doing that. well thats what im guessing. what does everyone think? anyone have this situation before?
