Default Beginner Performance Upgrades

I just bought my very first car (2001 Accord V6), and I'm looking for the cheapest and most effective way to upgrade the performance. What should I upgrade on a college student's budget? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

performance? accord? hmmm...no offense, nice car, but i think you should just get some COOL wheels and a MILD drop and a good audio system. Dont forget the alarm<!!
edit: i when i mean cool wheels..i mean COOL WHEELS! ..like saved money from not buying performance parts and put it all into the wheels and i nice set of wheel locks....

well my freind has one too and the first thing put on it was a AEM CAI and the v6 accord motor sounds really good when vtec hits its really loud. after that get a nice dual exhaust setup and then drop it and then put at least 19's on it and then a kit if u want

Yeah AEM makes a nice cold air intake for the new accords. And Greedy has a nice exhaust for the new accords also I believe its dual exhaust on those right. As for the college budget I know how you feel. I have the same problem so money to buy stuff for the toy, it sucks when you come home and all your boys cars are all hook up and finished for that matter. Good luck.

No 19's please. 18's max. No body kits, unless its the OEM kit -which is hoT!
..but thats just me. Most body kits are cheap and make you car look cheap..Unless its a very good quality kit which is rare and expensive.

Thanks. I'm not looking to turn it into a competitive street racer. If that's what I wanted, I would have just bought a Civic and been done with it. I just want a little horsepower boost and better gas mileage. I've heard that air intakes are good for that, but what's the difference between a cool air intake and a short ram air?

"cheapest and performance" never work together, you have to sacrifice something sooner or later.

max out on the bolt ons ie; I/H/E.....etc.
