Default battery relocated to trunk

so I recently relocated my battery to the trunk in my 96 Civic,I was wondering how many others have done this and if they have experianced any after affects. I remember hearing that since the currect has to travel so far some electrical pieces can experiance current shorts? for example possibly the fuel pump not getting enough voltage? main question is any problems with electrical pieces after doing this?
